Doesn’t August make you want to buy school supplies?  The stores have all their school equipment out and on display.  They have way cooler supplies now then they did when we were growing up!  As I perused the isles the planner section caught my eye.  Cute, feminine planners are hard to find but there it sat the only one of its kind left that I could see.  Kinda reminded me of this, design wise.  I pulled it out checked the price and knew it was perfect!  Now this lovely is going to replace the bleak, black planner I had been using!

So after I indulged my need for school supplies I couldn’t help but think how I was so glad to be done with school.  Not the learning part, no education of the mind is amazing and so fulfilling.  But the test, papers, obligations are things I don’t miss at all.  Graduating from college was one of the greatest achievements as it challenged me in so many ways and truly molded my perspective.  It also taught me a lot about humility, you don’t have to be ashamed of your weaknesses just find a way to work with them and allow others to help you.  Heck it I can graduate from college anyone can.  Though one class really stood out to me, not just because it was my final class but because of what it contained.  It was an English class and the final project was for you to give a presentation to the class teaching them about what you researched and why you found this interesting.  As each student stood up I was amazed by the diversity in the small class.  Students taught about music, photography, art, religion, literature and on and on.  The class went over and hour and for the first time in my college career I didn’t care I was enthralled with every student.  They were brilliant and bright, articulate and dedicated; they loved their topic and it showed.  But beyond that we were learning from each other!  It was incredible to be learning form your peers they seemed to know just how to reach us.  It was the best end to my educational experience, I learned more about so many different things in that one class period then I had ever learned before.  Education is important.
